Branding Session: Hurley Ranch

Noah and Becky are a well-respected, hard-working husband-and-wife team who own Hurley Ranch Homes in Evansville, Wisconsin, and they are SO. DANG. TALENTED!

Becky and Noah wanted fresh, updated personal branding photos to use for their home building website and social media channels, their new real estate investment podcast and YouTube channel, and for Becky’s new book she’s writing. They wanted to start posting more on social media, but they realized they didn’t have images that had the cohesive, intentional and high-quality look they desired for their brand. That’s when Becky reached out to me.

Together, we developed a vision for the personal branding photoshoot, featuring a few key pillars of their brand – their family, home construction, their podcast and YouTube channel, and their love for small town living.

Before the photoshoot day, we created a mood board on Pinterest to help define the look and feel of the session. From there, we selected the locations that fit with their brand pillars and helped tell their story. Then I created a shot list so we knew exactly what photo types, outfits, and props we needed at each location to tell their story accurately.

We started the photoshoot at Becky and Noah’s adorable hobby farm just outside of Evansville. Because their family and their farm are important aspects of their brand, the Hurleys included their two young children and their farm dog into the session. Becky and Noah love raising their family there, and they wanted images that embodied the wide spaces, green grass, and sunshine of country living.

Next, we captured home-building photos at one of their new-construction sites. Becky and Noah recently celebrated their 10th anniversary of building homes, so we wanted to capture stunning, impactful, and fun images for them to use. The wood frame of the in-progress home build was a fun backdrop for this portion of the shoot! Becky even got Noah to dance with her in front of his entire building crew! (It was adorable, and he was totally embarrassed but did it anyway!)

From there, we went to their Hurley Ranch homes design studio for podcast and YouTube video images. The new design studio is jaw-droppingly beautiful, and Becky has a fantastic eye for design!

Finally, we wrapped up the day on Main Street in Evansville, capturing portraits with the backdrop of small-town Wisconsin.

The entire photoshoot was such an energetic and fun day! But the best part? In just one day, Becky and Noah got an image library full of thoughtful, professional, and stunning brand photos to use for their business! And I can’t wait to cheer them on as they make their dreams a reality!
